I was born in Albury, NSW in 1971. I moved to Melbourne to study Graphic Design, where I graduated from Swinburne University in 1991. After fifteen years in the graphic design and printing industry, I welcomed the opportunity to stay at home to care for my two children and concentrate on my painting. I have been a full time artist since 2007. I am honoured to be the feature artist at the 2009 Mt. Eliza art show.

"Art at it’s most basic level is meant to evoke an emotional response. Sometimes you respond to a painting without knowing why. This is your emotion overpowering your intellect. I believe that a painting is to be enjoyed, something that lifts your mood whenever you look at it. Feel free to find a deeper meaning in my paintings, or just forget reality for a moment and enjoy them for the sheer joy of it."

Recent shows and awards:
"The Firehouse" Group exhibition (curated by Garnish) May - August 2009
"Without Pier Gallery" Group exhibition, January 2009
"Canterbury Art Show" May 2008 and 2009
Shortlisted for “Signature of M Competition” ($150,000 National prize) - September 2008
Finalist in the inaugural “Koko Black National Drawing Prize” - April 2008

My paintings are held in many private collections in Australia and Japan, including several private commissions. My work was recently purchased by St.Kevins College in Toorak, for their collection. I am a member of the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria.
